The TCC content isn't anything special, just old versions of; Monster In Laws, Kim of Queens, A Very British Road Trip & Banger Boys.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
It's on Boxnation for existing subscribers to the channel.
For ease they will no doubt simulcast it on the existing PPV event channel in the background. No point in adding risk and messing it up. No sign of HD being available, which is probably good as it avoids the issues some had reported on Twitter getting the HD version of the event.
My sources tell me this was due to the channel being at the extreme end of the spectrum and more prone to signal problems in some areas.
Edit: I just realised Virgin customers interested in the event are better off subscribing for a month: £11.

Really? Hmm! in that case no extra coding will be required.

Yep, the price structure is a bit strange.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
None of the press coverage indicates HD on Virgin however "ITV PPV HD" is back on the stream and broadcasting a Boxnation logo, so maybe it will be available in HD after all.
Edit: as with most things Boxnation it is as clear as mud.
From what I can tell the event will not be on the main channel it will be on Sky 490 which is Boxnation HD. This is how they are withdrawing the event from those who subscribe to BN through the BT Sport Pack on Sky.
The downside is it won't be available in SD and in all probability on Virgin will only be available to TiVo/V6 customers whether buying on PPV or an existing subscriber.

That's why I was somewhat puzzled by your suggestion that there were no signs of HD being available. My understanding of Boxnation HD on Sky is that it is a part time channel, doubling up as Boxnation's PPV events channel.

Or it could, perhaps, be made available to existing subscribers with a little extra coding, as I originally suggested. Time will tell...

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
Do you think they'll downscale the HD feed for SD subscribers or just extend compatibility to other MPEG4 HD boxes?

No, it's an incentive for SD subscribers to upgrade, so that wouldn't be a good move.

I was thinking of the method of accessing the NVOD H.264 video stream. Perhaps a red button for Boxnation subscribers rather than channel zero or the Tivo events menu.
Maybe I'll take a look at the "ITV PPV HD" pack flags nearer the time, if scan data is available.

If legally possible, I think that this could be a reasonable workaround for Ch 103 in the (unlikely) event that ITV is removed from the platform.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
Boxnation HD only broadcasts 1-2 programmes a week at present - it is NOT a copy of the regular Boxnation channel.
Subscribers to Boxnation HD just seem the Boxnation logo at all other times - which is most of the time.
So if the Boxnation logo is being seen testing in HD - that could be the full channel.
