I am going to defend the Democrats as I think the entire American political system has lost it's mind but those accusations against Trump are serious irrespective of the existence of the Democrats.

Agreed.
That whataboutery from Trump's lawyer doesn't cut it with me either. It looks someone on their the last throw of the dice. It might convince the dwindling number of Trump fans but it won't sail in a court of law.

Anyway, noticed you completely ignored the Democratic hypocrisy, violent political speech from the Dems, obstructing certification proceedings, in 2016, denying Trump won those States, by falsely suggesting the electors were not legally registered as such. Google can’t help you with that can it? Because it happened.

How many Democrats denied donny won or obstructed the process, I remember a couple but no one, even those in their party took them seriously, don't really think the two situations are remotely comparable tbh

Yes they are. Debate during Certification is not allowed, they used points of order inappropriately to obstruct the proceedings. Basically denying Trump presidency, they are just as guilty.

Well I’m going to defend Republicans, (With DeSantis, Not Trump, he’s too toxic & would lose next election if he was on ticket) Democrats have gone too far left and are destroying America with their stupid woke policies.

But it's not the Republicans or DeSatnis these charges are aimed at. It's Trump.

I'm not sure you've interpreted the news article entirely correctly. This is about Trump's failings, not about those of the Republican Party or DeSantis. If Trump's bid for leadership is derailed by the charges, DeSantis and the Republicans will likely benefit.
The US economy is out-performing the UK and many other developed economies at the moment. I only wish the UK was just as successful! The Democrats (UK closest equivalent Party: Conservative) could do better, I'm sure. But they could undoubtedly do worse.

Trump was the first US president in modern times to refuse to publish his tax returns upon taking office and recuse himself from business ties that might create a conflict of interest in the White House, justifying this break with tradition by claiming that he was under audit by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Documents revealed by the Democratic-led House ways and means committee on Tuesday night confirmed suspicions that his claim was not true.
The IRS did not audit Trump’s returns during his first two years in office, despite a rule that should have required an inspection of the president’s financial information. In fact, the IRS only launched an audit on the day the committee first requested Trump’s returns in 2019, which triggered the three-year legal struggle as he battled in court to keep his financial records secret.

Re: FBI searches former president Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate
Donald Trump has revealed his “major announcement”, which the former president teased with great fanfare on Wednesday.
It turns out that Mr Trump is selling digital trading cards of himself.

Re: FBI searches former president Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate
As I couldn't believe what I have heard about Trump's new money making efforts I decided to look up the Snopes fact check report.
Quote:
Claim:
After hyping a "major announcement" in December 2022, former President Donald Trump announced he is selling "Donald Trump Digital Trading Cards" for $99 apiece.
|
Snippets from the report....
Quote:
While these cards may be "licensed" by Trump, this contest is apparently unrelated to any Trump family member, Trump campaign, or Trump Organization-related business. It is sponsored by a company named NFT INT LLC:
NFT INT LLC is not owned, managed or controlled by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Digital LLC or any of their respective principals or affiliates. NFT INT LLC uses Donald J. Trump's name, likeness and image under paid license from CIC Digital LLC, which license may be terminated or revoked according to its terms.
Because, however, Trump's "major announcement" was the existence of this actual sweepstake contest and associated digital image collection, the claim is "True."
|
Quote:
about the sweepstake. .. Unlike fan art you may see elsewhere, these are the first authorized Trump Digital Trading Cards ever created. The prizes you have a chance to win in the sweepstakes may give you a chance to interact with President Trump himself!
CollectTrumpCards.com is the only place to purchase digital trading cards officially licensed and approved by President Trump.

Re: FBI searches former president Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate
Good to see these investigations coming to some sort of conclusion.
Quote:
January 6 committee declares Trump ‘central cause’ of Capitol attack
Final report caps months of investigation into former president’s actions in the aftermath of 2020 election
A US congressional panel said Donald Trump was the “central cause” of last year’s attack on the US Capitol, in a final report that laid out detailed evidence and offered the most damning assessment yet of the former president’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
The 845-page document released late Thursday followed an inquiry that lasted for months, triggering ire and contempt among Trump’s allies as it dug deep into his role in fomenting the violent mob that stormed the US Capitol building on January 6 2021, threatening the peaceful transfer of power.
“In the Committee’s hearings, we presented evidence of what ultimately became a multi-part plan to overturn the 2020 Presidential election,” the bipartisan panel, led by Democratic House member Bennie Thompson and vice-chair Liz Cheney, the Wyoming Republican, wrote in the report.
“That evidence has led to an overriding and straightforward conclusion: the central cause of January 6th was one man, former President Donald Trump, whom many others followed. None of the events of January 6th would have happened without him.”
The report said that Trump and some of his closest allies made multiple efforts in the weeks after Trump lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden “to “corruptly obstruct, impede, or influence the counting of electoral votes on January 6th, and thereby overturn the lawful results of the election”.
The former president publicly refused to accept his defeat even though some said he appeared to understand he had lost, the report said.
In a forward to the report, Cheney noted that some of her fellow Republicans, including Pence “along with many of the appointed officials who surrounded Donald Trump, worked to defeat many of the worst parts of Trump’s plan to overturn the election”.
But she chided those who backed Trump: “Today, I am perhaps most disappointed in many of my fellow conservatives who know better, those who stood against the threats of communism and Islamic terrorism but concluded that it was easier to appease Donald Trump, or keep their heads down. I had hoped for more from them.”
