It will be available on VM from 6am Friday to 6am Monday, so that's 6 hours longer than on Sky. M-pack customers are included.

RIHS in HD, Yipeeee!

Of course, if you record anything on a V+ or TiVO from a channel you don't normally have, it will have to be viewed during the free weekend.

It's not a forgone conclusion that VM will increase prices immediately. They have in the past absorbed increased costs for several months. The resale price that Sky charge is also capped by OFCOM. It's a case of wait and see.

VM's annual price increase is in April. I suspect the price will not increase before then.

Are you sure about that? because that's not the way it works on Sky, these free views carry a low level encryption and are able to be viewed by anyone with the lower level channel package even after the free view ends.

Will this not be the way on Virgin?

Under normal circumstances, nod is correct. Not sure how these 'free' weekends affect that. Guess we'll find out soon enough

No, it works a different way on Virgin. Recordings won't be available after the free view ends.

The upside is these restrictions only apply to Sky channels on Virgin. On Sky, it applies to all encrypted channels.

Not true.

In the past I noted that Virgin also put the price of Sky Movies and Sky Sports up but an month later - On October 1st.

The rest of the prices goes up every April.

(NOTE: I have yet seen any news on prices going up this October.)

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 3.

Broadcast: Ailbi HD buys rights to US Drama White Collar.

Ailbi has got the UK Rights to US Drama White Collar (Bravo did broadcast Season one in 2010) as well as The Glades.

And both shows are to air from September.
