DS has a "Premiers Page" here but it may be of limited use. This site and Twitter feed may also be of some use to you.

This may be some good (only came across it today). New shows for the 2012/13 season are in Red, which will need to be added to a whishlist as they won't start until September at the earliest, and may not even get picked up in the UK. You'll need to use something like IMDB to see if they are likely to be of any interest to you.

Indeed. It's a job for Suggestions. Give some light-weight US dramas on less well-known channels three thumbs up, and it will record more light-weight US dramas on less well-known channels.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 3.
^ Now why didn't I think of that?
Possibly because it's not entirely accurate. I would never give anything more than one thumb-up and certainly nothing in more than one category in case that includes one category I have no interest in.
It's an idea to try, but I would certainly not set it to auto-record

It surprises me a little bit that you don't like suggestions. Did they have them on your original TiVo, or is it relatively new addition?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 3.
It's not that I don't like suggestions. I like them fine and they have alerted me to a couple of show recently. It's more the fact that I have enough to watch without using them
And yes, they were an original S1 Tivo function.

Also the fact that that they are a pita to navigate, a humongous list, why can't folders work in Suggestion it would make navigating so much easier.

Sky Sports Free weekend
Sample all the Sky Sports channels on the weekend of July 20-22.
With the free weekend, Sky Sports are giving non-Sky Sports customers a whole weekend of world-class sport for free.
From 6am on Friday July 20 to just before midnight on Sunday 22, even if you don't have a Sky Sports subscription you could watch all the sporting action on all six Sky Sports channels including Sky Sports F1*
There's lots of world class sport packed across all six Sky Sports channels
Santander German Prix
1st Test between England and South Africa
Stobart Super League
World Matchplay Darts
Super 15
Royal International Horse Show
US PGA Tour Golf
Indy Racing League
Virgin Media subscribers will get all the sky sports channels plus Sky Sports HD1 and HD2.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 3.
Last time we had a free weekend, the interactive streams didn't work, as they weren't unlocked (well for me at least). Will this be the same again?

It's always the weekends when there is naff all to watch on SKY. I only keep it as I like watching golf, so worth the fee each month for me.

German Grand Prix was only due to be a highlights package on BBC, so I'm quite pleased, and looking forward to seeing how the Sky coverage compares.

Oops, didn't see the Grand Prix listed so yes it is a great weekend for it to be free. Maybe SKY hope putting the sports package free during a GP weekend will mean more subscriptions to the package.

Previous free weekends have seen Sky customers get the channels from Friday night, but VM customers had to wait until Saturday morning.
Do M customers get the free weekends, or is it just M+ upwards?
