Re: Boxing 2013
Amir Khan and Floyd Mayweather talks are officially under way. Question Khans chin but don't question his heart or determination. This lad ducks no one. He's not the average bum fighter we've come to expect from British Boxing.
The greatest boxing mind in the world vs the fastest and arguably one of the most accurate Welterweights in the division. Despite Khan being a huge underdog this could turn into fight of the decade. God only knows if Khan somehow puts Mayweather down. Now we need Haye to clean up Fury and head to Germany and we could be in for a huge 2014 for boxing.

Re: Boxing 2013
Heavyweight boxing is now in the hands of David Price and Tyson Fury. Oh boy.
At least Khan and Brook are still alive as well as some youngsters making their way up.

Re: Boxing 2013
Groves vs Froch is heating up. Froch goes in as huge favourite but don't write groves off. Anyone that's been coached by Adam Booth tend to have tremendous knockout power. Groves is no different he's dropped booth now but that power is there and it's sticking about. Carl Froch better not doubt this Kid or he'll end up on his face. I've got a feeling a huge upset is about to go down.

Groves might be better then he was before but my money is still on Carl to do the business.

Re: Boxing 2013
Some bogus comments from the Fury camp regarding Haye. Claims that Haye has ducked the fight. Do they expect him to fight with one arm?
Another thing, Haye has never ducked a fight before, what makes Fury think David Haye would avoid him? He didn't avoid Klitschko and he put Chisora in his place, why on earth would he care about what a bum like Fury could do? Especially after seeing Fury's chin in all it's glory last time he fought. Go home Tyson, you're drunk
If Haye want's to stay in it and fight a bum like Fury then so be it but I'd much rather him set up a fight with Klitschko than some half job huge mouthed bum fighter. Let's be real though, 3 injuries in a year, what does he expect? He can't live a life like he does and be a boxer at the same time, he either returns properly or this will keep happening.
Let's be clear though, if Tyson had the injury then Haye would probably be running his mouth too.
Roll on Groves and Froch. Let's get the Khan - Mayweather fight rolling and let's get Brook to Vegas. R.I.P Heavyweight division.

Re: Boxing 2013
After all the role model hype given to Froch and the respect. He goes around rabbit punching groves many times unpunished. He holds his arms high like he's won the gold medal event. Disgraceful stuff from a bloke that's meant to be full of respect and sportsmanship. Froch showed his true colours tonight. Groves was robbed by the ref and those cards were a joke. Vegas Boxing just landed in England.
Typically give nothing away in his interview either. Stole a win. Talks about respect. Rabbit punches and gets a fluke stoppage. Froch robbed groves. The ref robbed groves and the judges were robbing him too.
Carl Froch got absolutely dismantled tonight but we've witnessed Vegas in our own back yard. I have backed Carl Froch on many occasions but after tonight he's lost a fan. The next time I see him he's hopefully face down and being counted out.
Again I'll reiterate. No matter how desperate you are you don't go around rabbit punching after every opportunity. If it was possible. I'd go off the ridiculous cards and overturn this result. At the very least strip Carl Froch of the Middleweight titles.

Re: Boxing 2013
i agree Froch should havr got docked pts, at the very least 1 but the guy didnt cheat himself back into the fight. he got back into it himself, he carried on talking blows and didnt drop.
why would a fighter, a called winner wave the white flag post match? Froch has just held his own. the emotional rollercoaster of Groves has got to you a little too much tonight.

Re: Boxing 2013
Froch was barely in the fight. He wobbled groves and the refs called it. I'm not on the groves roller coaster I'm on the Boxing and MMA roller coaster because this is every week now.
Johnny Hendricks was robbed last week in the GSP fight.
We've seen Pacman robbed by Bradley.
We've seen a Floyd Mayweather fight scored a draw.
Khan was robbed in the peterson fight with evidence.
There's plenty more but as fighting fans around the world we can only take so much. Who wants to buy a PPV and have it end like a WWE event.
The only person in the world that thinks Carl Froch has won tonight is Carl Froch. This judging and refereeing needs stopped and now. Sorry. Jose mourinho probably thought the ref made the right call.

Re: Boxing 2013
sad i know. wrestling sucks.
Froch went into the ring in the wrong mindframe. the rematch could be a classic if both fighters turn up, Froch in particular.

Re: Boxing 2013
Groves can only go up though. People thought I was trolling when I said his right hand means business. Froch however. Rematch maybe but he hasn't got a chance against ward based on tonight. If ward had the power he'd stop him no problem.
Mindset aside Froch is predictable. He's slow and he's old fashioned. Groves will pick him off again in a rematch. His old style just won't cut it against younger and more talented boxers.
