Hence you use one that cant be "worked out". Plus as noted, there is 2FA.

We have said we use 2FA
If you do not have it set then you are far more vulnerable than those of us using a password manager. Yes if there is a data breach all are passwords are unsafe but we still have 2FA protecting us. What is protecting you from a data beach on any of your log in hosts?
incidentally I use Bitwarden and my passwords are encrypted behind a single password but guess what? even if there was a breach they still need 2FA to access the encrypted passwords getting my Master Password will not give them access

Yes, really. I wonder who knows more about IT security, you or me ?
If you going to act as if you know it all, dont waste our time asking for help.

I did not ask for help have you seen the warning put out by O2 . Remember a secret is only a secret if you don't tell ANYONE. Calling IT secure is "emperors new clothes syndrome". I assume that you do read the news. Banks , NHS major, businesses have problems, but I guess they didn't ask you for

You appear to be confusing end-user access security (you and I as customers of various companies trying to prevent others from fraudulently accessing our accounts) with companies abilities to prevent hackers accessing their systems to gain information - whilst part of the same gamut of security, we all have some responsibility (and self-interest) in reducing others ability to defraud our accounts.

Re: Password manager
I think we are seeing here a total lack of willingness to learn from people who know better. A few of us have gone into detail on how password managers are safe to use with 2FA but the fear of a mass data breach is too much to cope with. This is fine but in this case the lack of understanding of what 2FA is and an unwillingness to learn about it makes them more vulnerable anyway.

Re: Password manager
I used to use LassPass which synced across my PC, Phone & tablet.
But they decided to go down the pay if you want 2 or more route, so I just deleted my details and account,
