So really only affects those using Outlook to access Gmail. Not any kind off issue if you use the gmail app already for accessing it.
Also not a feature of Samsung Galaxy devices. It's something being done by Microsoft.

As I said earlier, he hasn't a clue what the message is telling him. It can't be a function of the Samsung Galaxy handset as neither I or any other Galaxy user has reported anything near this rubbish.

Infuriating for some maybe, but if someone struggles with this kind of thing and obviously is not being a pain on purpose. Then a little more understanding a patience is needed.

My phone has Android, and I've had no trouble with Gmail - and no such message. Most likely it's a scam of some sort, a false alarm.

So it is real, well sort of. Due to new security from Microsoft apparently Gmail accessed through outlook will no longer work.

But I never use Outlook, so it shouldn't affect me.

Only partly true in that Gmail will not be accessable via Outlook unless you upgrade. Gmail will always be accessable on an android (Google system)phone.
