Its funny how some posters resort to name calling when their arguments are weak.

Yes, it’s eye-opening, isn’t it?

Let's get this right.
My argument that all sorts of undocumented baddies and economic migrants are a threat to British culture if it goes on unabated is weak? Right?
And, by corollary, do want these people here?

I suppose if the government and/or right-wing press have brainwashed you into believing the boats are full of bad people then I can understand your view (I suppose someone has to believe the rhetoric). However, if as is probably the case, the bad people are a small minority isn't it over the top to make coming here pretty much impossible.

What's wrong with economic migrants? We have a shortage of workers in many areas. We're too busy getting old, posting divisive crap on forums and tweeting to work.
Who is going to pay the taxes for that state pension that is increasing by an absurd amount compared to wage rises ? Who is going to wipe your backside when you can't? Economic migrants if you're lucky. You'll have to put your xenophobia to one side one day.

Sounds like a Telegraph/CCHQ standard attack - make something up, then when questioned on it, just repeat it…
John Redwood is obviously rubbing off on you…

What's wrong with them staying in France or the other safe countries through which they passed?

Economic migrants via a legal route is fine. People fleeing from oppression is fine. People who have deliberately thrown away their documents are a potential serious threat to the country. If you do't see that then you need to do some re-evaluation.

If it’s CCHQ coffee, it’s probably Komi Luwak…

Re: Rishi Sunak is Prime Minister
Last time I was in CCHQ was 1987. Later that evening went to the Kundan with Ken Clarkv(Curry house with a division bell).

You see the error in your assumption? No? Well let me try and explain. Being desperate to get somewhere that you know full well won't let you in because there're loads of hand wringers scared of your nationality, skin colour or religion etc means you're likely to do desperate things like throw away your documents but this in turn does not automatically mean you're in one of the groups the hand wringers seem so scared of, you're making me think about the episode of Young Sheldon where he's scared of catching the flu.

We don't have a shortage of workers, we have a shortage of people who will work.

Did you see the error in yours
As you quoted, he stated " People who have deliberately thrown away their documents are a potential serious threat to the country."
You're assuming he meant all of them, he didnt actually say that.

Judging by a couple of teenagers in our family, they seem to think that money will just roll in without them actually needing to do any work.
