Ranked 117 in the world, don’t even think England have ever suffered like that.

But North Macedonia, ranked 65th in the world, snatched victory with five minutes remaining when Elmas struck from close range.

England were beaten by Norway in 1981, and Norway were ranked 76th at the time.

Re: 2020/2021 season
Someone gave me duff info.
Still 20 years since their last defeat in qualifying when they got beaten 5-1 in Munich, can’t remember who beat them though.

September 1st 2001.
I know that as we were driving home from the Isle of White, and would miss the game due to our ferry time, but we were lucky and got the last space on the earlier ferry, driving up to the M25 we heard Germany score the first goal, so I eased of the gas, but when we equalised I pressed the gas.
IIRC I got home in time to see our 3rd goal on.

Re: 2020/2021 season
Absolutely scandalous decision to book Jude Bellingham and disallow that Dortmund goal, He got the ball cleanly and the City keeper kicked him.

Yes that was a crazy decision. You need a bit of luck along the way to win CL and on that basis I can't see anyone else but them winning it.

Re: 2020/2021 season
Do you think this BLM take a knee rubbish will carry on once we get people back into the stadium, as i hear that lots of people are getting annoyed with it as they see it as a political statement, and politics is not allowed in football.

Re: 2020/2021 season
I think they will run with it until the end of the season then let it fade away.

That would be my opinion too. My club have already stopped doing it.

Re: 2020/2021 season
Newcastle United close club store and make all staff redundant. The club shop is owned and operated by Sports Direct.
Mike Ashley has informed staff that PIF/Saudi Arabia do not see the store as part of their plans post-takeover
For awareness. The club is still in an ongoing arbitration case with the Premier League and hasn't been sold. So I'll translate that to, I wanted to close the shop and make everyone redundant but blame it on the Saudis. What an incredible chap.
