Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
Isn't the 'you have to have 100mb' for V6 condition, an admission that the 10mb connection on TiVo isn't good enough for streaming video? All those excuses VM have been giving us for years. E.g. iPlayer buffering is the BBCs fault... Bit of a cheek to make you pay to upgrade to solve the issue. They never were very good at fixing faults/addressing issues. Just bring out a new box and make the mugs pay for it !

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
No, this simply reflects the additional data requirement of 4K (V6) compared to HD (TiVo).

Plus that the data comes out of your normal broadband bandwidth, rather than being separate.

Pixels across the screen. (Actually it's 3840, so not quite 4K. Some people prefer the term Ultra HD)

Was the level OK on the HD channels but not the SD ones? If so, that's a known issue, currently under investigation.
If it's not that, all I can think of is to make sure the TV firmware is up to date?

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
I was experiencing the 401 error when trying to use MRS from the box I have connected via wifi. After comments on this thread I checked the router and low and behold it was connected to the Superhub 3 at 2.4Ghz. I've now changed the SSID of the 2G network and it's connected at 5Ghz and working fine. Interestingly, despite being connected to the 2G network, it was streaming shows from the hard wired box flawlessly. Anyway all sorted now.
I've also added DHCP reservations for both TIVO boxes as I noticed previously that they would lose connection to each other until rebooting, my hunch being that IP addresses were changing. Not had that issue since adding the reservations a few weeks ago.
Main problem at the moment is the waking from standby bug.

Until the bug is sorted, just leave it on. No point in energy saving when it just causes inconvenience.

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
Does the V6 remote have a mic on it ? The latest Q update I have has introduced voice search via a button on the Bluetooth remote. So far it seems pretty good although it will be of more use when it's expanded further later in the years with tasks etc.
