Re: Merlin : Season 3
I like merlin,
it has gone from a shakey start to strength to strength.

Re: Merlin: Season 5
Thread title changed ...
There appears not to have been a thread for season 4. This weekend sees the beginning of Season 5. I'm really looking forward to this - the show has developed really well. Apparently this season winds everybody on three years from when we last saw them, so Arthur is well-established as king. There's supposed to be a guest appearance by Anthony Head as well. It will be interesting to see how they work that in.

Re: Merlin: Season 5
Maybe it will be flashbacks to a few years ago when Uther was still alive.

With the comments Bradley James (Arthur) has been making to the Radio Times this week about Uther looking 'unwell', I'm thinking someone may be trying to summon him up from the grave

Re: Merlin: Season 5
That's it then ,Merlin is finished and no more series planned .A good finish i thought ,if it had to finish then i am glad they kept it as close to the original legend as possible

I'm wondering if the end was deliberate to leave it open for a modern return should they wish

Re: Merlin: Season 5
There's definitely room for a spin-off there. You know, with Arthur yelling about saving the United Kingdom last week and the dragon promising Arthur would return at a time of great need ... If I were Alex Salmond I'd be a bit worried right now.
I liked the ending at Avalon. I've spent the last 3-4 weeks hoping they wouldn't follow the legend and kill Arthur off, but in the end I like the way they did it, especially with getting the magic secret out but doing it in the last 45 minutes of the whole story so that it never changed the whole dynamic of the show or Merlin's relationship with Arthur.
