Re: Grass is greener?
never had any problems when i paid for Sky we had a faulty receiver which was replaced the next day. never have any problems in rain as im using a zone 2 minidish in a zone 1 area, so i get 100% signal strength & 90% signal quality, other then heavy rain then signal quality goes down to 85% & the levels are the same for all transponders

Re: Grass is greener?
I have no choice other than to keep getting replacement boxes, im not going back to Virgin Media and im not giving up the little HD content we are given on Sky to Virgins next to nothing service.
I just wish it did not take up to a week to get a new box everytime one breaks...

Re: Grass is greener?
zone 1 is mainland UK where a 45 cm minidish is required & zone 2 is north of England & Scotland where a 60 cm minidish is required. so using a zone 2 dish in a zone 1 area will obviously give you better results. the recommended minimum signal strength is 50% i brought a zone 1 minidish however they sent me a zone 2 one & only changed me for a zone 1 :
