Yeh, but you never won a couple of European cups though, its all relative.
No other winners of the Euorpean cup have sunk so low.

We were in D3S in the early 50s, two seasons, we came back again.
Rumours of a couple of signings in the immediate pipeline, will believe them when i see them tbh.

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
With the disgusting amounts of money sloshing around the Premiership and the parachute payments it makes it very hard indeed for any team to get to the top table these days. You just had to watch the Wolves v Baggies to see the difference in class of a team still drawing parachute money. Personally I would like to see Forest back at the top, preferably in place of some of the Southern Jessies like Watford, Fulham, Charlton & Reading.
Jim.

Prutton joins Forest in loan deal
Nottingham Forest have re-signed David Prutton on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old, who started his career at the City Ground, will stay with the League One outfit until his Saints contract runs out in the summer.

Forest snap up defender Chambers
Nottingham Forest have signed central defender Luke Chambers from League One rivals Northampton Town. The 21-year-old, a long-time target of Forest's ex-Cobblers boss Colin Calderwood, has signed a two-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee.
"We're sorry to see Luke go but he will feel the move allows him to build on a great start he's made to his career," said Cobblers boss Stuart Gray.
Chambers made 149 appearances for Northampton and was their club captain.

MAJORITY shareholder Paul Barry has put forward a last-ditch plan to save Cambridge United.
Mr Barry has warned United will be forced to go back into administration if his bid to buy the club is not given the green light.
But former directors could have the last word on the survival of United if they fail to provide their backing to his proposal.
Mr Barry told shareholders at the club's annual meeting last night that he was ready, together with vice-chairman Johnny Hon and American businessman Adrian Hanauer, to plough £600,000 into United over the next two years.

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Should this be allowed? - Link
I don't understand why he get's special dispensation to move to Liverpool, he's played for two teams in the same season so cannot play for another, he decided to move to West Ham, it's his own fault and he should live with it in my opinion.
I'm sure if it was United trying to buy him and not Liverpool Sepp Blatter would stick his nose in and say no, stopping the transfer. Of course Liverpool get to break the rules though

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
i think the liverpool arguement was that although yes has already played for 2 teams as the South American league runs to a different calendar it was actually last season and not this one
didn't the same thing happen with Boumsong when he went to Newcastle from Rangers ?
not that i like liverpool but as a football fan it is better for the player.. wonder how well he will do

A good signing for West Ham though

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
I long for the day, I'd re new my season ticket in a flash, it's also just about the only thing that would convince me to vote Tory again, although I am not hopeful, note the word could
Conservative leader David Cameron has said terraces could return to football grounds under a Tory government, although he insisted that safety would still be the "first priority". (Various)
