Re: problems GU14 Area
it might be noise on the network or VM doing upgrade work for the upstream connections. Have you hd a look at your power levels?

Re: problems GU14 Area
Service status page showed issues with TV & Broadband yesterday. My phone is down, but apparently that's a cable fault.

Re: problems GU14 Area
If there is no packet loss then the problem is not with the net.

They might replace it with a superhub if the DLink router is faulty, try a direct connection to the modem and ensure you have at least "Windows Firewall" enabled to protect your PC, if all is ok then it might be the router playing up.

Re: problems GU14 Area
Hi
Having exactly the same problem in GU52 Fleet.
System status page shows no broadband issues. However, keep getting doggy connections.
Traceroutes fail for a while then pick up again.
Web pages fail to load, then load after several retries.
My son keeps getting dropped out of Xbox live games.
I will see if it is back by tomorrow, then phone faults if not.
Anybody know a good time to phone faults when I can get to speak to somebody (in a UK call center) who can actually tell me what is wrong in the VM network, rather than telling me to change irrelevant settings on my PC?

Re: problems GU14 Area
my service came back on about 1730!
VM had known about this problem at 0400 & it was then reported to them about 0930, then i called.
It looks like vm wait till they get a phone call, no new news there!!!

This Fault has not happened again since last chat to Virgin tech , i know full well its nothing my end or eguipment . there techs could find nothing but when asked today did
the idea given to me work and i said no nothing at all changed answer was ridiculus ,"there you are then there was no fault " what did that mean stupid . Anyway as i told her this Fault comes and goes as does the Fault with TV Breaking up ive told you time and time again your Techs call and cant fix it . When our contract ends we will be considering any offers BT Make to us Enough is enough of incompetance

Re: problems GU14 Area
I’m in Farnborough GU14 (near King George V) and I haven’t had any Internet since mid afternoon. It’s still not working at the moment and I have rebooted rthe superhub a few times now. I’m not liking the way it affects the recordings on the 360 service also. Recordings made in the last two days should surely still be watchable?

I'm afraid not. The metadata for 360 recordings is stored on a server.
