Linksys IP Webcam on NTL - possible?

I have bought a wireless linksys webcam that has it's own server built in, i have an NTL cable modem and BT Voyager 1500 router.

I am familiar with hwo to port forward etc, but seem to be hittig a brick wall, has anyone got this running from an external location or have NTL blocked the port i'm trying to forward and i have no hope?

TIA

Ben.

First question, which port number are you using? and have you tried an alternative?

It defaults to port 1024 - i thought i'd try and get ftp port forwarding to test the whole port forwarding thing but found that not to work as well, but i guess if they are going to block a port then port 21 would be one of the first!

So i should be able to set up an FTP server at least? What is the simplest service to try to get something working? I gather FTP has PASV/PORT issues too so is there a simpler test to do to see if I can get incoming traffic?
