Re: Freeview changes

BBC Radio Gloucestershire moved from 735 to 716 sidestepping the method used by other channels.
Channel 715 is
BBC Radio Stoke (Stoke)
BBC Radio Solent for Dorset not BBC Radio Somerset
Interesting that the old Talk TV slot has been left in place duplicating the IPTV service on 294.
I hear the standby team at UKTTVC managed to get everything together without the usual crew and eventually managed to update the blog with the technical details of all of the changes. https://ukterrestrialtvchanges.blogspot.com
Normal service should be resumed by next month hopefully.

The DTT analysis, in terms of organisation is, pretty much, a one man band. When that one person is unexpectedly unavailable and a major update happens it is very difficult for support staff to pull everything together. It is also still at the beta stage, so a lot of manual updates are needed as the database is being built.
There were quite a lot of people pulled in to help set up new database routines this month. For example, there were no routines for complex changes such as the local radio ones. The analysts were quite brilliant with some of the things they managed to set up, actually setting up some routines for future updates.
It will also help when Wakefield monitoring is brought online, which will only gather the relevant information for analysis. The current monitoring location gathers all information for all multiplexes across several regions. So it takes far too long before information is available for analysis.

Re: Freeview changes

Meets the Babes is set to close on Virgin Media on July 31st and they broadcast under other names:

Astra UK - Get Lucky
Freeview - Smile TV3*
Virgin UK - Meets the Babes

*Maybe sister Channel Babestation will move into Smile TV3 slot on Freeview on COM5.

So that Babestation can give up it slot on COM6 as channel do Timeshares with PBS America, Together TV +1 and Jewellery Maker.

Rumour online months ago did say that Xpanded TV was set to close on Freeview but that did not happen.
