I would go for a replacement pc to be honest will be cheaper and a lot faster even a very basic pc with a ssd in there will be so much faster than what you got.

21 quid for 8GB £25 for an SSD where you gonna get an off the shelf PC for that hahaha

Depending on the CPU the board it could still be more than adequate for the needs. My Dad is still running an SKT 1156 i7 PC. And is still more than happy with it
