Re: Official Big Brother 2010 thread

It has been confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother will not be returning to Channel 4 in January.

I reported the other day that Celebrity Big Brother could return to Channel 4 next year after the Daily Star rumoured on-going talks amongst Channel 4 and Endemol.

This news came just before we found out that Endemol UK had secured planning permission to keep the Big Brother house until September 2013.

A Channel 4 and Big Brother press officer confirmed by Twitter that the show will not return. Kate Conway said:

“Celebrity Big Bro not returning to C4 in January…despite the rumours.”

Some may find this as a real damper, however, it opens possible doors for keen buyer Channel Five to revive the show.

It has now been made very clear that the intentions made in the last series by Channel 4, in regards to advertising was definitely a way of burying Big Brother from their screens.

Ive have not heard anything About Channel Five yet but negotiating a deal with Endemol to broadcast the programme, however, the Daily Star, which is owned by Richard Desomed, owner of Channel Five have been keeping a close tab on Big Brother.
