Don't worry, I'm more than confident of updating the firmware. I just want to make sure I get the best build on there as people are saying there are issues with certain builds.

But via the database on their site, it links to build 15778 which suggests a lot lower build than 17990. If you don't want to explain how I get to other build versions that's fine, I'll look elsewhere

edit - sorry noticed the link above. I mistook it for a sig initially as it was below the black line

But why isn't that available on the website and instead it links to a build which sounds much older?

I've flashed many various items in the past including the early days of the PS3 and all the rigmarole that involved. I can do this easily, I just want to make sure I flash a working version with no current issues.
