No, I meant the scart sockets that preceded the HDMIs.

Not all old TV sets have scart sockets. I hadn’t realised that either until one of my neighbours asked me for some advice. Of course those TVs that do have one are not compromised because you can use a converter.

There is a workaround, but I suspect that most people would not bother.
