Mobile Broadband - Wrong Bills
Has anyone noticed that their bill for Mobile Broadband doesn't add up? Or more correctly - doesn't multiply correctly?
I got billed for using the internet; 18 transactions; 1.19GB; Price £3.06 Usage is charged at £15 per GB above the 1GB allowance. So the extra 0.19GB should cost £2.85 [£15 * 0.19 = £2.85] That is an overcharge of 21p, or 7%. Of the 18 transactions listed, two are mathematically incorrect, eg; 11.73MB £0.23 The charge for 11.73MB should be [£15 * 11.73/1024 =] £0.17 Customer 'Services' didn't have a clue. In five calls I got five different reasons, none of which held up to analysis. I'd like to know if I've been singled out for this overcharging or does it happen to everyone? -- Wyl |
