A word of warning
I was supplied with a UK mobile Number +447xxxxx to use as it also sends to an email address.
I thought as it is +447xxx it is a normal U.K.number, it would be part of my allowance of unlimited SMS. I now find that it is listed as INTERNATIONAL and is fully chargeble for each message. |
Re: A word of warning
Not all 07xx numbers are mobile numbers.
Some like 070x are 'personal numbers' and have their own charges. https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-tele...ll-really-cost |
Re: A word of warning
It was..0793xxxx
I have been searching around, and found this "Text messages sent to our inbound number range will be charged at either your standard message rate or international message rate depending on your mobile network. https://www.world-text.com/services/sms-to-email/ |
Re: A word of warning
I am with VM and have the spend cap set to 0 so no matter what I cannot get charged outside of tariff. I will never sign up to a tariff that does not have this option or work like giffgaff.
So far all CS numbers I have needed to call have been fixed by WeQforYou. If I ever fall foul and have to call a number I have to pay for I will either change the cap just for the call (as long as it can be changed right back) or pay a couple of quid and use skype |

So as mobile networks usually only include UK mobile numbers in airtime plans, calls and texts to the Channel Islands and Isle of Man numbers are chargeable. |
Re: A word of warning
Thanks, that explains all.
