Oh no, that sounds absolutely terrible. I hope they sort this out before they get to my area

I know a few folk that needed extra assistance and they were switched weeks ago on an individual basis which seems to have been seamless, these ones seem to stem from too many being done at once.

Thanks for the update Steve. It will be interesting to hear how things progress for those who have been involved with the less than successful mass switch over.

My relative round the corner has just had the engineer out and it is an issue in the area so there is nothing can be done apparently until Tuesday.

If this was my businesses number I would be absolutely raging missing a week of incoming calls.

I can see businesses asking for compensation for any loss of trade, especially after the loss of business caused by covid. They pay extra for business lines as it is.

My relatives phone started taking inbound calls (from all networks) late on Saturday so they are finally up and running

One such business is a local Chinese takeaway who have had the same number for over 25 years and been told it could be up to 2 weeks till they get their number back.

The Chinese takeaway I referred to on 20th August has just today had their original number restored nearly 3 weeks later.

The temp number they had is totally dead now, so no crossover time.

The move to VoIP phone also means that your extensions don’t work any more and while VM will fit new ones at a price there will be potentially new cabling.

Think it’s probably time to move to mobile network and if you have two different numbers on different suppliers then you might cover some outages.
