Re: English Cricket
Terrible toss decision, terrible team selection. Didn't see Leach spin one ball where as Lyon turned it square.
It's a going be a long month, Root - good batsman, awful captain. |

The Ashes are as good as gone. Not that we had them anyway. Why aren't we playing our fastest bowler? Just a load of medium pacers plus Root. The Aussies are terrified (not).

Re: English Cricket
The problem is Australia have a better cricket team.
Typically unsporting them - for hitting poor Little Joe in the spondoolies, which crippled him, and then getting him out.... He was in tears when he left the pitch, not sure of the reason though ;) They're absolute cads and rotters. I hope Joe's Mum gives them hell. |

Re: English Cricket
Did England actually play cricket?
Interesting comment that issue is that we've squeezed the county matches to the start and end of season. We need to mix up the whole and multiday matches with the shorter format through the whole season. Then (for home tests) we can drop players to county if need a bit more practice and bring up others as needed and they already have some practice in longer formats. |

Re: English Cricket
Pfft..England get 299 to win on last day, not bad but Lancashire knocked off 329 to win on the last day today against the reigning champions.
By an amazing coincidence Lancashire also struggled to 93 fof 4 exactly like England. |
Re: English Cricket
Think there should be a limit on how many players England can take from one team, especially for one day matches against Holland. Five Lancashire first choice T20 players in the England squad and two of them are warming the bench.

On the other hand perhaps it’s only fair on the other teams, the three Lancashire batsmen hit 350 runs for England.

Re: English Cricket
Really disappointed I missed that.:D
Off to Trent Bridge on Saturday to watch Lancashire v Kent in the Royal London 50 over one day cup final. Unfortunately at this time of the year it’s nearly always a case of win the toss, bowl first, win the match. |
