Well EA have closed down there blackbox studios so it looks like the end of the NFS series anyway.

Yeah I saw that in the news the other day. Ricitello said sometime ago that he wasn't going to stand for anymore low quality offerings so hopefully they'll continue with the series using a different developer. The NFS games used to be really good up until hot pursuit 2. NFS Porsche which was developed by Eden (Test Drive Unlimited) was of course the best of the lot.

Have you tried Midnight Club:LA yet? it's along the same lines as the NFS series but very well executed and definitely worth a look.

I havent yet but I had been looking at it and decided I would pick it up eventually. It does look really good.

I will probably pick it up after I finish NFS off which by the way after playing a bit more is one of the worst builds I've ever played. It does make me wonder if they even had a QA team :erm:

NFS Undercover, had to start again cause stupid xbox didnt save the darn thing properly and it corrupted the file.

I didnt lose all my save but I had done some races. Let it save and then switched it off. Next time I tried it the races I had done I had to do again.

Its buggy, buggy, buggy. I've had to sometimes re-do a race because it didnt save. I've had parts of the car not actually attached to the car (I.E. the exhuast was touching the road and not the car !). I've had the car just stop running in the middle of a race ? ? ? This has happened to me twice and I thought maybe my controller was messing up but its fine so much be a fault in the game. And last but not least I've been driving along and all of a sudden my car just took off into the air and span around a couple times and come crashing down (only happened once). I've also read of peoples games going black when driving along.

There must of been no QA done on that game otherwise the team that did do the QA should be sacked !!!.

On 82%. Had a go last night and fell through the floor while racing ? ? ? Just kept falling into blackness. The thing is I actually like the game but after I finish it I dont think I will ever touch it again :(

lol, it does fail really bad, but the achievements are so easy!

ive got nearly 600 from it in 2 days, but now i am getting really bored and p****d off with the police, every race!

I picked it up for PS3 and thats what I thought the problems were at first (Was gonna trade it and buy for 360). Thought it was just a bad port but from what I've read its just poor design as it's poor on both systems.

I agree its also way to easy. I find myself shocked sometimes how easily am winning some races.

Has some good ideas just poorly implemented.

Another thing ive noticed is the framerate is slow. I was driving my bugatti veyron and it went all jumpy.

:p: and easy is good for gamercore, still isnt as easy as Avatar TLA TBE (awsome game)

Just finished NFS yesterday. Even glitched on the last mission were I'd done what was said but it didnt register and just left me hanging so had to restart the race lol. I have no hope for the NFS series anymore.

Going back to Fable 2 now probably until Godfather2 and F.E.A.R 2 are out :)

still enjoying cod5, i,m on level 61 for the 3rd time, does anyone know what the yellow bar at the bottom of the screen means when online, it changes with each game and i was wondering if it was some sort off latency indicator or something.

Still loving this game which suprises me because i wasnt that fused in the beginning, now i prefer it over cod 4 because its a little less frantic and frustrating.

Not certain, as I have only played COD WaW online a couple of times, but as it is pretty similar to CoD4 I'll give a couple of suggestions. On CoD4 there are 2 bars that sound like the one you mean, one which change colour was the connection, ie green was ok and red was bad. The other possibility is that you are talking about the xp bar, which shows the amount of xp score you have to get to advance to the next rank.

thanks for the pointers CB, will have another look tonight to see if there is any corelation between XP and rank etc, i just noticed last night that one game the bar was 3/4 full and then the next game it was about 1/4 full. thanks again for the reply.

how come you have only played it a couple of times online, is it not your cup of tea so to speak.

Too many other games came out around the end of last year and I'm working through them. I loved CoD4 online and spent ages on it. Spent a few hours on CoD Waw, yeah, it's a good game, but have a lot of others sitting un-opened... Oh yeah, also got married at the end of August, so less time to sit online for hours on end! :)

I have just purchased TNA Impact for the xbox 360. Not really played it properly yet, but first impression wasn't that great.
I'm really into PES 09, master league with Liverpool... I need to see them win a match, this is the nearest thing I have.

That basically shows how close you are to your next rank. I'm guessing you got a promotion between them two matches?

Yep, the yellow line is your "promotion bar", it shows you how far away you are from going up another level.

Still Fallout 3. It has crashed at least 3 times now but that aside I wish I'd bought it on release. Better than most games I played of 08 and is such a refreshing change to most games out there at the minute.

Really, really enjoying it. Actually of to play some more before bed lol :)

I'm currently playing LOTR: Conquest and B&K : Nuts & Bolts - both are very enjoyable - think some of the reviews have been far too harsh for these two titles IMO Well worth a play. :)

Midnight Club LA. EA should take notice. This is how a racing game is meant to be.

On another not I cant beleive EA have announced 3 NFS titles for this year ! Lets hope that the part new team make a diffrence.

Same here icestar, I brought Fallout 3 last weekend and can't put it down:) it really is superb. I'm now on level 19 and I have the Tesla armour and the excellent alien ray-gun, I dread to think how many hours I've spent on it, Saturday night I finally switched off at 03.30am:dozey:
I haven't been as addicted to a game since the days of Final Fantasy 7, Fallout 3 certainly warrants a 9.5/10:)

Couldn't Agree more buddy. Such a great game. Got addicted myself. Kept me up till all hours to and found myself wanting to go back on after 5 mins off being off it haha.

Agree about the FF days to. Such a shame we will have to wait till next year for the next one which looks stunning and makes me :( and :) at the same time lol.

Well,i bet a new console every 4 or 5 years is less than a new graphics card every 2 or 3 years.:)
I like PC gaming also,but I just find the console more convenient.AND....you also know the game will always work,no comp.problems:mad: :erm:

I finally bought Fallout 3 last week after getting the lunchbox collectors edition from Gamestation for £24.99 on PS3.

Its a fantastic game and love it, although not really got that far in it yet.

Far Cry 2 in single player mode. Can't get away with multi on it, even though i am a multi player addict.
I picked it up last week, quite cheap in a closing down sale, and just love it on max settings :), especially lobbing nads and suddenly realising...BUSHFIRE!!!! run run...too late :( haha

I still drag out my old Hitchhickers Guide To The Galaxy, text adventure disk and have a bash. I still love those old type of text only things.

F.E.A.R 2, Got a chance to have a play just after midnight tonight. Have to say it seems very good. Has had me jumping a couple times already and only played an hour.

Went back to playing some 2142 over the weekend. I remember thinking when it was released it looked awesome (But played poorly).

When I went back on this weekend it look rubbish lol. Saying that I did have alot of fun on it but then again that could of been the friends and alcohol that made it that way ;)

Just Bought CODWAW PC Version last week, after my son got it for his PS3, I have to addmit, I am rather addicted to it. Well in Team Deathmatch mode. Free-for-All is just a spawnkillers heaven, and hate that aspect of it.
Mind you i just get sick of hearing "send in the dogs!" just has I find a nice little place to use my sniper rifles.:(

Am not really into the whole gamescore/trophies thing but I do agree that the Sega Mega Drive Collection is awesome. Was great playing some old school sonic and streets of rage. Brings back such fond memorys for me though I amagine not for you given your age lol.

I just finished silent hill homcomming, currently just playing KZ2 online really.

I got a phone call today (Tuesday) from Gamestation inviting me to their midnight launch on Thursday for Resident Evil 5, the problem is now I know they are doing this I'll have to go and get it on the night, sad really.:)
