Torrent Question
Does Virgin still throttle Torrents?
I've noticed if I download between midnight and 8am I get near top speeds, if I download during what Virgin considers peak time my speeds drop to around 12mb/s even with a VPN. Anyone else notice this? Thanks. |
Re: Torrent Question
I do not know tbh but I have a little tip for you
If you download the torrent using Real Debrid you do not have to seed the parts and most of the time they already have the file so you do not need to wait. It is not free but it is only £14 for 6 months. No sharing no vpn no risk |

my total cost per year is less than £100 £30 usenet server(well it is 30 euros Grandfathered lifetime offer) £30 Real debrid £25 for two usenet indexers that give an api to interface with sonarr and radarr so most of my stuff is downloaded from calendars without me having to do anything but add to the calendar |
Re: Torrent Question
What are the best Usenet servers to use these days?

If you want to download torrents, and dont want a VPN for some other paranoid reasons, spend the money on a seedbox. |
Re: Torrent Question
Just download a Linux distro and find out: https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd.../amd64/bt-dvd/
It peaked for me at 640Mbps which is the limit of my current wifi access points. So no they probably don't. |
