Dual Ethernet Nic
 
Can someone point me in the right direction where i can get a dual 2.5gbe nic that supports i think its called Link Aggregation where it allows u to use 2 Ports as 1 if your router also supports it.

According to a little reading if you did want it PC side 2 nics and windows server is all you need. Looks like I was waffling on about a different technology

I was under the understanding you need a Nic with dual ports not 2 separate.

According to Asrock my motherboard supports it on 2 separate nics

There is a lot of information on it on the web. Some conflicting info though so still none the wiser really

So what do you intend to be copying over your network to need these speeds? you must be moving some massive files

One part of the info I have found is that you need to be running server software. It is not cooked into standard windows for example

My onboard Nic is only a GBE can that be bonded with a 2.5GBE?

I know Corey and Georgie are in the same boat as I built their system.
