Absolutely, as I am sure in some countries (Germany) HD is the norm.
That particular channel is played out from Warsaw so it would make sense.

It still doesn't mean they are dropping HD standard - just from their name.

Loads of HD channels do not have a licence with HD in the name - like UKTV and Sky channels.

Having HD as a part of the licenced channel name doesn't really mean much unless the HD service is different to the SD service.

Crikey that’s the opposite of what Virgin Media usually do.

They usually launch these things then tell us.

But over a MONTH ahead of it happening is never heard of.

…and Disney + will follow soon after, I understand. A goodish ending to the year for 360 subscribers.

Disney+ and Dazn were added to my model of Panasonic tv this week.

Disney+ is full UHD/HDR - but audio is only 2.0.

Sources say that DAZN are leading the bidding race to buy BT Sport.

---------- Post added at 13:52 ---------- Previous post was at 12:32 ----------

Wikipedia says that DAZN has got Linear channels in Austria, Germany and Spain.

Austria and Germany:
-DAZN 1
-DAZN 2

Spain:
-DAZN 1
-DAZN 2
-DAZN 3
-DAZN 4

UK?:
-BT Sport 1 > DAZN 1
-BT Sport 2 > DAZN 2
-BT Sport 3 > DAZN 3
-BT Sport ESPN > DAZN 4
-BT Sport UHD > DAZN UHD

Also Wikipedia is reporting that Eurosport 1 is set to rebrand as Eurosport Events HD on December 1, 2021.

Is that Eurosport rebranding said to be permanent or temporary?

Remember anyone can edit that so it is not a source of reliable info without a link.

Here is a bit about what is happening, it is a corporate rebrand rather than a channel rebrand which is possible in the future if they do decide to ditch the Eurosport brand (with the demise/rebrand of Sky One by Sky anything could happen nowadays)
