How Can I Pay You with All Possibilities Impossible?

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

It just occurs to me that, if I suddenly have a cash flow problem and I find that my Virgin Media services are "restricted", then I will not be able to pay Virgin Media by any means.

Previously I was able to use my phone. But now that my phone has to go through my home hub that facility will be lost to me.

But VM has now dropped their phone payment facility. And VM's online payment system is impossible to use because VM has cunningly covered the card payment field with a thick black line!

I took a screenshot of this interesting but incredibly idiotic phenomenon so that I could show you, but I am unable to upload it here because you can only attach images which are external URLs. Another brilliant own goal for VM!

Ah! By jumping through several hoops I'm now able to upload the screenshot.

So how am I meant to pay you if my services are "restricted"?

:td: :dunce:

Hi entseo,
The automated payment line on 0800 064 3777 is still available 24/7.

Just make sure you have your account number and area reference number to hand

But if Virgin have cut off the broadband and the persons landline has been transferred to VOIP, even free 0800 numbers won't work now!

A phone service totally reliant on broadband is a crap downgraded service. How do you phone them up if your broadband doesn't work?

Ummm, we are not VM, also, you uploaded it anyway.
Looks to me like its probably a browser issue, you should probably just try another.

Not everyone has a mobile though and some people are housebound.

Most phone boxes in our area have been removed due to lack of use. I believe that BT is to convert the last remaining one into some sort of a hub where phone calls & the internet can be accessed for free!

The vast majority have a mobile, and if you're housebound, you should get one.

Yes, it would be prudent to do so if this is affordable and the property is able to get a mobile signal.

Where do you live, 1995?

A very basic emergency handset and a pay as you go sim should cost £20 at most. And there are very, very few places in the country now where there is no mobile signal on any network, even near a window.

We can afford £20, but not everyone can.

When your account is restricted, your phone gets the same access through the hub as it would if it was still a separate line.

If you're "housebound", then you'll find a way to afford it, how do you think they afford a landline ?

There's currently a cost of living crisis. Some people are having to choose between heating or eating.

Do they cut off the internet when it's a restricted account though?

No choice with most virgin contracts, and you end up paying even if you don't want/need it !
