account hacked

Hi guys,
on my VM email account i keep getting a message saying i have been Hacked and asking for $500 or else? this message come to me using my own Email address, any help most welcome.my antivirus is not picking anything up.
any help most welcome.

Change the password to be on the safe side, but it's likely it's not originating from your own email and they're spoofing the email headers to make it look like it.

Also never be tempted to click suspect links in emails.

cheers for info Guys i never click on links i marked it as Spam and a few hours later it came back into my normal inbox.

Complete hoax to make you think you've been hacked when yo've not. Just delete the email and dont click any link in it.
