Broadband providers who chat nonsense

So I was looking at my bills and realised I was paying too much and could get better elswhere so I phone my broadband provider and ask if they can do a better deal.

The amount of horse manure they tried to get me to believe.

It didnt start well. I tell them I only use broadband so don't need any TV.
They try to sell me a Tv package. And No, it wasnt cheaper.

Next they tell me my wifi is slow because the antennas are not all activated on my current package.

A better package "enables" these hidden antennas!

I quickly put a stop to that nonsense by telling them I don't even use the Wifi on the router and have my own Ubiquiti Unifi access points dotted round my house so wifi coverage is beyond perfect.

On this note he starts back peddling and doesnt know what to say before eventually he quotes "But our router will guarentee Internet in every room".

Clearly not having understood a word of the fact I have my own setup.

Finally get them to realise that the main thing I want is a broadband package that offers better speed as other providers can offer better.
I get told about this all fancy package. He then quoted me a package thats slower than what I'm currently on!

Told them to forget about it as they didnt have a clue what I needed.

BANGS HEAD AGAINST WALL.

It was Sky.

English agent but clearly only interested in sales and getting me to purchase a new package.

To be honest I dont expect them to have technical knowledge as it is the sales department but making things up when I tell them it's wrong is plain silly and will just lose me as a customer.
