Use another provider on ntl line?
Hi everyone,
My parents are with Virginmedia and their special deal contract is about to finish with prices now about to go up. A storm blew the old BT line down which wasn’t a problem as landline and Internet is on the ntl Virgin installed line. My question is..... Are they limited to having Virgunmedia or can they look at other providers that could use the ntl Virgin phoneline? Thanks all. |

as far as I know yes however most fibre providers will connect a new line free and you have been here long enough to know a threat to cancel will get them a new deal :)

Re: Use another provider on ntl line?
Our street had all BT lines removed for a few days years ago due to work in the street that required a huge crane and multiple high vehicles operating in the road, and BT only put live lines back up when it was all done. But it's never stopped people subscribing to landline based services and Openreach just string the address up when needed. Nobody seems to charge for new phone lines these days.

Thanks all.
I'll see if they can do me a deal and then if not, will move to another provider and get a new line in. |

Bills were around £35 per month, now they are jumping up to £56 per month.
Called VM. Best they could do was £46 per month. Not great. :( |
