Sky Glass

Hi all,

My sister has sky Q in her house and they have 3 tvs set up. two downstairs and one upstairs.

Theyre going to get sky glass but her husband is saying its too expensive to get multi room. He said it would be £40 extra per month and £10 extra for each room. Is this correct? He's saying its too much for the extra rooms and so theyll just have freeview in the downstairs spare tv and freeview on the upstairs tv...

Any ideas? Think hes just being a cheapskate myself and making stuff up!

No idea, the £40 sounds unlikely, the £10 might be true, its £15 per month, per room, if you have Sky+

Details on the pucks seems to be quite vague still at this stage.
Sky's own website says the pucks cost £50 each and you need to subscribe to the 'Whole Home' pack at £10 per month - it sounds to me like that should cover all pucks.

Each Sky Stream puck has a one-off upfront cost and you'll need a Sky Glass TV and a Whole Home monthly subscription for it to work.

So not only is the TV expensive the pucks are too. Just throw Sky Go on a £20 android box from China

Re: Sky Glass

So it sounds like £50 (one off) per puck, and £10 per month.

Its not clear (to me) if the £10 is per puck, or just an overall cost.

I wonder if you can just buy the pucks and not bother with the Glass TV.

Unfortunately not. That's been one of the many bones of contention haha

Yes, I since found that mentioned elsewhere ;

The pucks won't work without a Sky Glass TV, so purchasing one is essential.
