Virgin Broadband Upgrade
 

HI,
I tried this thread before but has not appeared in the Group so I will try again.
I am about to upgrade from 10Mb to 20Mb on Virgin Broadband.
I have the modem Motorola SB 4100 with Netgear router WG 641 wireless feed to other computers.
My present set up is the modem is connected by lead to a computer running Windows XP it then feeds through the router to a desktop running Vista Home.
A further two laptops are wireless connected.
Should the initial wired connection be to the XP or the Vista. Is there any difference in the set up and will it alter the settings and speed.
I might need to keep the present set up as I dont think the old XP computer has wireless facilities.
