I've used this for years and never had any issues. it doesn't overwrite anything as it's installed on the removable media. holding down the Set button on startup bypasses it by not loading it, so you just get the standard features installed on the camera via firmware.

Ive just installed it on my Canon 1200D and will see how it goes.
