Lord Stanley's Cup

Yay! Stanley Cup playoffs! Here's my picks:

Tampa Bay Vs Islanders - Tampa Bay, no question about it.

Boston Vs Montreal - Boston, but this is a close one

New Jersey Vs Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Toronto Vs Ottawa - Toronto (my team)

Detroit Vs Nashville - Detroit

San Jose Vs St. Louis - San Jose

Vancouver Vs Calgary - Calgary

Colorado Vs Dallas - Dallas (I hate Colorado)

Overall pick? Possibly Tampa Bay. Can't say for sure, not until next rounds.

Leafs all the way! I think this is the best team they've had in a few years.

Just a pity Nolan picked up an injury.

They must have a psychological advantage as well after beating Ottawa 6-0 a few days ago.

Hockey

Some people claim that its the hardest trophy to win in sports. 82 regular season games, then 4 playoff rounds all best of 7, all completed in less time that your average football season.

Have you ever been to a game? I used to think the same until I was in Canada a few years ago and started watching it.

Theres not a huge amount of fighting (esp in the British game). It is a very fast and physical game.

Never heard of either of those names, although I'm guessing the version we played at school was 'field' hockey. I really enjoyed it, much more so than Rugby. Our teacher was an Olympic referee (still is, AFAIK), so I guess his enthusiasm for the game must've rubbed off.

The only thing that attracts me to "field" hockey are those skirts the girls wear.....
