Saving Mobile Phone Contacts

I have a Samsung Galaxy S21+ 256GB which is a great phone but what it lacks is a memory card slot.

What I wish to do is backup all my contacts onto my handset and then transfer that file onto a Pen drive just in-case. Usually like on my old Galaxy S10 I would just backup to memory card and be done with it.

What's the best way of doing this, is there an easy program as since my 2 strokes if its anything complicated I just fall to bits as I get stressed very quickly.

Thanks Guys.

Just plug your charging lead (it's also a data lead) into a PC, select your phone and save whichever files you wish.
If you have a pen drive connected to the PC you can save the backuo directly to that.

If you have a Google account then your contacts can be saved to that which is cloud based. This means you don't need to take action to save them separately and you can also access them from any device at https://contacts.google.com/

If you prefer not to use Google then you can backup phone contacts using Samsung Cloud backup

I have a Samsung Galaxy A12 and the SIM card carrier also doubles up as a micro SD memory card carrier. Have you checked yours may be similar?

You can also save your contacts to the SIM card as well as internally.

S21 definitely doesn't support SD cards.

Also I personally wouldn't recommend using SIM contacts theses days.

This is what I have and it has never been a problem when changing phones, everything gets auto updated.

That said I also have a backup of my phone data on my PC which I think is what alan wants to do though to a pen drive. Dead easy to do, have the phone and pen drive in the PC, open the phone, select all files/copy/paste to pen drive. Job done.

Contacts don't appear in the folders though when it's connected via USB

All my contacts are saved on Google and sync to phone and tablet.

I also have a duo drive that has a USB A and USB C slot just plug and play

As others have said Contacts should be synced to the Google account where you can add address information too unless you purposely chose to save them on the SIM Card, which in my opinion is a pretty outdated thing to do on modern phones.

I exported to a .vcf file and saved to internal memory on the phone and then emailed that to my PC where I have backed up to a pen drive. I didn't realise I had so many numbers, I've been through my phone twice deleting numbers no longer in use and still have 221 numbers.

Why don't you do it the modern way and save the contacts as Google contacts which also gives you multiple numbers and the ability to add addresses, never any faffing around then?

I have used Google and Samsung accounts to back up all my contacts and phone settings so that when upgrading or changing phones it's as easy as logging in to the account on new device and everything is then loaded from backup on the cloud. So simple and easy once enabled you need never think about it.
