Using a Sky+ SKYHD remote with older Sky box
I've just purchased a new Sky controller from Ebay (revision 8) which is the same as my SKY HD one. I wanted to use this on my 2nd box in the kids room which is a rather old SKY Digibox.
Can I do this or have I wasted my cash? |
Re: Using a Sky+ SKYHD remote with older Sky box
Sky+ & HD remotes will not work with standard non Sky+/HD boxes. Sky+ remotes will work HD & visa versa.

Re: Using a Sky+ SKYHD remote with older Sky box
You can actually use a Sky + Remote to control a Sky Digibox, to activate this function do the following:
Press TV Hold Yellow and Select until LED flashes twice Press 0 Press Select Press Sky To revert back to operating a Sky+ box, enter this sequence again but press the "1" button instead of "0". Note: not all remotes support this feature - only newer Rev 6+ will. Also, if you wish to use a standard Sky Digibox remote to control a Sky+ Box, do the following: Press TV Hold Blue and select until LED flash twice Press 2 Press Select Press Sky Now the sky up and down channel buttons change the channels on the Sky+ box. To revert back, enter this sequence again but press "0" instead of "2". Regards, Guy |
