There doesn't seem to by much around for the pc gaming front at the moment so downloaded a copy of Shank off steam, think it was £6.99 its not a bad little side scrolling slash n hack side scroller.

I little short lived though but worth the price

This week I have been mostly playing....

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (finally got 100%)
Armada 2526 with expansion (a fun cheap 4x strategy game)
Darkspore Beta - which is open to all www.darkspore.com/download
Just Cause 2
Mass Effect 1/2 - Because ME2 was free with the online code for Dragon Age 2's Black Emporium (which you get when buying DA2 anyway)

Been a boring last month hence the games (there is more but not really playing them per say)

Championship Manager 01/02 season with the latest data update. It's sad I'm playing a game that's now 10 years old however with the speed of computers these days I can whizz through a season within about 6 hours. The data updates I download are very detailed and up to date with the latest transfers and players.

I've tried all the newer version however personally I believe the series hit an all time high with Champ Manager 01/02 in terms of playability and simplicity. The newer versions are far too complicated.

Operation Flashpoint Red River... really enjoying it up to now. Bit of a flawed masterpiece in all honesty though, looks like they've used the AI code from the original game and the graphics are a bit crude. Feels like a blast from the past.

If you didn't have to wait ages time and time again on those cut scenes at the start and end of levels it would have been a lot better. When you do get past that the game is quite enjoyable though.

Yes it is, mainly due to the seemingly unlimited healing system so it's a bit more COD-like in difficulty curve terms. There's still the hardcore mode for those who want more challenge. The squad system and co-op is brilliant though although it doesn't quite reach the heady heights of GRAW/2.

With you on the cut scenes there peanut, it's a very frustrating bit of lazy coding that.

I love driving games; but not track-based ones. Love the original "Need For Speed" series; ie not Shift, etc. Finished the latest, Hot Pursuit, a while ago but still keep going back to it.

My list for this year includes Portal 2, Mirror's Edge 2 and possibly Duke Nukem Forever.

Also love CounterStrike, but haven't played it in ages.

Been playing Portal 2. Got up to the level where you have to direct the carpet of light to pass over the water below and decided that was enough for the time being. Boss game though.

Will have a dabble with ArmaII Arrowhead later at which point I'll probably decide that it's time for a new graphics card. CPU is ok though (core i7 2600)

Im playing ArmA II all expansions at the minute and I think its an awesome game but have you tried it online yet?

It's quite annoying having people much like the battlefield series jumping in choppers and Jets and then with 5-6 people on board flipping over which kills the lot of us :td: Although I do suppose people have to learn somewhere and depends on the server also. Love the AC though, masses of people all dropping from the same plane :)

Brilliant game for people interested in Military sims or even CoD players who want something a little bit more realistic. 8/10!

Didn't get around to installing it yet unfortunately. Won't be in a hurry to play online though. The good reviews sold it though and the original Arma was very enjoyable just chock full of bugs but there was a lot of promise.

duke nukem forever (fathers day gift) I have now remembered why I hate steam with a passion and swore never ever to buy a game that has anything to do with them ever again, it took me 4 hours to install the buddy thing.And it's not that good:mad: so I am going back to "X" universe

Really? I love steam, found it perfect for my needs. If it wasn't for the stupid STM limits on virgin I could have all my games reinstalled and patched in about 2 hours after a reformat. About half the time it would take to do it all manually plus I can just leave my system to it whereas manual patching & installing would require my input often.
Also remembers my settings and saves on some games.... I do like that.

By the way what X do you play? Had a short play of the first one when it came out but lost interest because I had just re-discovered I-War. Seems like my type of game but just never got back into it.

I am playing this which is a modded version ( with egosofts ok of course;))

I have played all the versions as it is the closest I ever got to elite and they are open ended

I think on average I will have played each version (I think there is 5or 6 ) for quite a few months up to a year for some.

Still playing Star Wars Galaxies but SOE have just announced that the game is closing on 15th December 2011 after 7 years. Lucasarts who own the license have decided to pull it as they have thier new mmorpg out at the end of the year, Star Wars The Old Republic, set 10,000 years before the Star Wars we all grew up on.

Shame really as our server was just closed for free transfers as was too busy, our guild of almost 7 years has been struggling with the 500 cap limit on numbers (thats with removing people who dont play for 70 days) and everything was very very active.

Not the end though, we will have around 200 of us moving to same guild in Tor when its released as our guild has already been set up in Beta there.

Crysis2 and Fear3.. Crysis2 has to be one of the best FPS's that I've ever played..

As for FEAR3 it's a good game, I do though wonder why I've played FEAR, FEAR2 and now FEAR3 when they make me jump so much :D

DOSBox is a great bit of SW, I used it to play some of the old games in my collection, Dooms, Duke Nuke'em, & the old Lucasfill games Monkey Islands, Indys.

Dirt 2 on the old xbox, I'd forgotten just how good this game is, unlocked the metro 6R4, RS200, and Mk 2 escort so far.

I love the old school stuff, it reminds me of my Trentham Gardens Marshalling days watching the lombard RAC rally car's fly by.

Full on evil? I know some people can't do certain evil things on ME3 such as being mean to Legion but I had no problem with it.

I just can't do it as a full Renegade. I managed a Renegade playthrough for ME1, which wasn't too bad. Tried it for my second ME2 playthrough, and found it harder than the first. ME3? No way I could bring myself to do some of the Renegade choices!

Been playing Tribes : Ascend.

Its free, and you can unlock stuff with XP or with Gold Coins which you can earn through referrals or buying... but buy in Dollars, as £'s costs more with them.

Only 2-3GB in size, and doesn't take long to get set up, lots of fun :)

I think you'll be well impressed. The campaign is certainly no afterthought, plenty of gameplay there and plenty of game modes to keep you occupied online. Nothing quite on a par with terrorist hunt though.

It's great fun when my friends are round. They all sit in silent anticipation for the next shot, then all cover their eyes and OMFG when a round goes through the side of someone's skull, making their eyes pop out.

Last weekend was a double XP weekend for Premium members and I went up from rank 39 to 46 scoring more points as Assult, than I had since buying the game, and spent 2 hours in one game.

Playing the campaign missions... Wasn;t sure at first as I loved Graw1&2 and this one has lost a lot of the control you had over your team...BUT.. the new team AI with target designation is excellent :D

After finishing Max Payne 3 on the 360 I went back to my Halo saga re-play.

I finished Halo 2 last week, and am now near the end of Halo 3.

Next up after that will be Halo Reach.

Some good sales on Steam, KOTOR1 quite cheap.

But im not so keen on Steam since the whole "you stole HL2" fiasco when I actually bought it and they wanted $10 to allow the key to be used again.

So I usually get my games from Gamersgate, I shall evilly put a link below that refers to my account :P But they have weekend and week long deals nearly all the time, I once got all GTA games for a £5 there, now its back to full price.

If you plan on buying anything would be nice if you clicky, but I am not begging so you can choose to sign up without a referral click. But they do have some good deals, even newer titles can sometimes end up cheaper than steam prices.

Another good thing they have is Blue Coins, the more you buy the more Blue Coins you get (you can also get them from reviewing a game, scoring a game, helping out a technical problem etc) and when you have enough you can use them to buy games for free. Something Steam doesn't have and should.
