Re: The most crazy refrigerator "thermostat" that I have ever seen!
Well it was early days of refrigeration so they were still figuring things out.
|
I wonder how good it worked??

Re: The most crazy refrigerator "thermostat" that I have ever seen!
Well I'm sure at the time it was fine as they had nothing to compare it to. Would have nothing on modern refrigeration where digital temps can get perfect temps. My fridge is always 5 degrees and -18 for freezer.

I usually like my fridge as close to 0 as I can get it w/o getting ice in the milk (I like cold milk)

Re: The most crazy refrigerator "thermostat" that I have ever seen!
Definitely not too warm. Perfect temp to keep everything safe and drinks nice and cool.
The British food standards agency recommends 5 degrees or lower as l harmful bacteria tends to grow above 8 degrees. Most UK refrigerators have 4-5 as the normal range |
Re: The most crazy refrigerator "thermostat" that I have ever seen!
Mine currently reads 4.7 C, and seems nice and cool to me.
