What is a master console reset?
HUB 5 rebooted and the log says Cable Modem Reboot due to master console reset. It happened when I was trying to set up some Smart Bulbs but I imagine that was just a coincidence

Re: What is a master console reset?
I think it is when you initiate a reboot from the web interface of the hub, or reboot is initiated some other way such as firmware update etc.

Re: What is a master console reset?
Interesting question - I've recently been asking VM why my own modem is going off with those same message occurring upon reboot...
I assumed a failed FW update with the SNMP messages, but am yet to receive anything other than 'we see no issues' (I'll update here when I get a more reliable answer!) Tom Quote:

I see a number of Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received Unicast Maintenance Ranging attempted - No response - Retries exhausted around 13.50 then nothing till 19.07 when it did the reset all I was doing at the time was setting up a smart bulb but I can not see how that would be anything to do with it |

"Remotely checking from our end, there are no issues that have flagged up. From our end everything is in working order" - Apart from when it's dropping out completely, VM! So the mention of SNMP was a indeed an update/bugfix, @spiderplant ? Tom |

Re: What is a master console reset?
Had more oddness today when mine went off and never came back up. Curiously it tallied with another SNMP log, but I can't see why that would cause issues with booting afterwards.
Rebooted it ten hours later and it came back up... with a yellow LED (which no documentation references) :D Be interesting to see if VM tells me the reason, but I imagine it'll just be another replacement Hub, as always seems to be the case! Tom Spoiler:
