Only joking. Although I’m closer to telly off at quarter past 12 than a large gathering of more than 3 households so no need to cross the border for my plans.

The more people then smaller the dram of whisky. Often we watch BBC Alba on New Year as the music is better than the main channels. It's going to be duller without the fireworks though.
(Dream plan was to coordinate with neighbours to set off fireworks in sequence so the "display" lasts longer rather than all at once - mind you the celebration in 1999 was such that it reminded my grandmother of the war the way the sky lit up. Trouble is the folks around with nervous pets who moan on local social media every time someone dares set of fireworks.)

I will probably go to bed at 11pm sober, I can't be with family so no point staying up.

I am timing my meds to let me stay up till midnight. I feel like a child being allowed to stay up late like a proper grown up. :D

I will be raising a glass to all the people I know and love, including you lot on here. My toast to you all will be that everyone has a " Happy and hopefully healthy New Year " 🌠 🍸 🍸 🌠

We will be staying up to bring in the New Year although the dogs ain't going to like the noise of those fireworks sadly.

Happy new year folks. 2021 in CF land has been fun, here’s to more witty banter in 2022.
