Why the ham?
Surely burnt wheatgerm bread, instant mash, butter and marmite is the best???
(was a student, had no money and needed to eat :D )
and admit to eating it since :D

So... I guess you've never tried my concoction :)

I'll have you know, young man, that it was MY chess pawns on the Smash aliens heads advert!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKt-KR1TsRg

It was better than cold tinned beans and burned fish fingers
I believe that student food has moved on since then :D

And I'm a potato-ricer person now :D

Now baking in the oven and I have spicy lentil and choritzo soup simmering on the cooktop for our lunch. Probably have a slice or two of the fresh bread with it. :)

I made an M&S recipe pea soup earlier with stuff from the garden and freezer, and I make bread in a machine...

Yours sounds much nicer :tu:

Today I was told I was a perfect match for somebody I've never met......

... only for my platelets though .;)

Went for my regular platelet donation and was told that I was a match and the staff seemed quite excited about it.

Apparently some people's antibodies fight and destroy donor platelets because they think they're invaders.

On this occasion my platelets are destined for such an individual. I hope they help:)

I hope so too. I'm sure they'd like to thank you in person.
Your blood must be very special. If I may ask - what blood type are you? Are you a universal donor type?

I'm common as muck O but the platelets can be used for other blood groups.

At 9am tomorrow I start a temporary assignmet (well Christmas at least) at the company that I was working at last Thurs/Fri. Wages not good (50% cut) but it's better than JSA.

Better than JSA and better for proving you are willing to work to future employers. :tu:
