The full report actually also takes into account attire (NVG & cold weather gear) and difficulty in activating the emergency oxygen supply...

I know it's probably a repeat but Channel 5 has "Worlds scariest plane landings" on tonight at 8:00pm

Phantom Gate Guardian to return to its former base:
Quote:

A former RAF fighter jet is to return to its former base in Suffolk after nearly two decades to be restored.

The Phantom XT914 was one of the last RAF aircraft to be based at Wattisham Airfield before the station was handed over to the Army in 1993.

The jet is being moved from its present home at the entrance to RAF Brampton in Cambridgeshire to the Wattisham Heritage Museum.

Unfortunately 'restored' doesn't seem to mean to flying condition. There is an F-4D flying in the USA, but it would be nice to see one over here.

If anyone has downloaded Alaska wing men S2E03 there's some crazy flyers in there using light aircraft to spot herring shoals for the short Alaskan daily fishing seasons.. In a 1 mile area there must have been about 20 boats and a dozen light aircraft
