Hi, first post here so hello all. I am getting an error trying to read email. It says
"The connection was rejected by the incoming mail server 127.0.0.1" Its been like this since last night . Can anyone shed light on this. Thanks

Right before the latest outage I actually got an email straight away, it was amazing, I signed up to a forum using my ntlworld address and within 1 min the email arrived, sadly 1 hour later the email server died and has yet to come back :(

127.0.0.1 is localhost (in otherwords your pc)

to setup your email for ntlworld properly, remove any accounts that you have at the moment, and setup according to the instructions here

Chrysalis- when i left work at 8 the only email problems were with webmail, so should be back on now.

unless he is running some sort of program such as avast that sets it up this way , i cant be clearer than that as i am well on the way to being merry :hic: :D :D :D

Ahh, Thanks guys , I am using incredimail . I dont know what happened but I removed the account and reset it and I got 14 emails . Sorted. Thanks for your help

What if anything is wrong with Incredimail. I don't use it and am happy with OE or Outlook, the only reason I ask is that a friend of mine has just e-mailed me telling me how wonderful Incredimail is. The last time he told me about an e-mail add on I checked it first and it was full of spyware.
