Sky Sports+ looks to be a total revamp of the existing service, both channels & streaming content.

The updated background app that runs it is already on the Horizon platform boxes, & a TiVO version for the V6 is due to be rolled out later this year.

Looks like 15 unknown channels testing on Virgin

Guess that's Sky Sports+ although there is 14 testing on Sky rather than 15 in SD only for now.

Will Discovery/Eurosport not be broadcasting tons of it on a non-exclusive basis?

Couldn't find anything official. Officially I can only find mention of the BBC and iPlayer.

For those in the UK and without tickets, the BBC is the official Olympic television broadcaster here. The BBC will broadcast the action on BBC Sport and BBC iPlayer. Eurosport may also broadcast some of the Games in the UK
Though the BBC article makes it sound like it's the only place to watch it.

The Paris Olympics will be shown live on BBC television and the BBC Sport website and app, and there will also be extensive coverage on BBC Radio 5 Live

Warner Bros Discovery have the rights across the UK & Europe.

In Europe, it will be every moment on MAX where available which appears to be replacing Discovery+ as it rolls out across Europe, looks like it will be early 2026 in UK , Germany & Italy.

BBC have a limited sublicensing deal for both Summer and winter Olympics

Erm... no, that isn't new channels testing. Probably poor signal levels at DBR meaning it is unable to resolve the service names in a timely manner.

My mistake, most of channels testing on Sky could be the SD switchover from DVB-S to DVB-S2 aswell.

Suprised Sky/Virgin would develop the Sky Sports new interactive app for V6 TiVo platform.

Probably because subscribers are paying so much for the service.

True but Sky seems to be actively discouraging customers from using Sky+HD as they gradually remove support.

Sky want to remove the SD Red Button streaming service from satellite. Not only do the Sky+ boxes depend on this, so does the V6 at the moment. As the V6 is still a supported platform it is the only way of maintaining the current service level for Sky Sports customers with these boxes.
