Just like to add that Obama was at 46% around December in his first year.

He has not demanded anything, he hasn't even publicly commented on their wedding.

48% at the end of his 2nd year, 51% at the end of his 1st year.

Having looked at the various polls, I think that a better indication would be this indicator giving Trump a 39% approval rating.

100% of me would like Taylor to be the next President.
Her approval ratings are 100% and her skirts are shorter than average.

You get one Reality TV President, and the floodgates open.

What next - an actor being President?

Short memory?

Think that is what Hugh was getting at ;)

Worth remembering though that Reagan had been in politics a good while before the run for President including two terms of Governor of California. A Governorship of a major state is probably the closest training for being President.

And to be fair he did a quite decent job of president.

DAVID Cameron thought Barack Obama was one of the “most narcissistic, self-absorbed people” he ever met, according to a former Downing Street strategist

this goes on to talk about Trump

Just to be clear this is Steve Hilton who is a bit of a troll and himself a narcissistic attention seeker. Not saying Cameron didn't say this but that Hilton has a vested interest in claiming he did.

I'm sure Mr Cameron will deny it himself if untrue .

It’s also note worthy to point out that Reagan was also deeply unpopular in his first year, the economic recovery helped bolster him to win his second term in a landslide, the entire map went red, I think one tiny State went Democratic blue.

It's hard to see what Trump could do to turn around his numbers. I can only see it being a war or something big that makes him come across as Presidential.

Re: U.S President: Donald Trump

The only other thing which boosted Reagan was his Assassination attempt that nearly killed him in 1981 and that wasn’t due to hatred by the nutjob, it was a sick fantasy and obsession with actress Jodie Foster.

Interesting viewpoint from Trump, speaking to Tennessee farmers yesterday.
