The foreign football is going to be on the BT channels not ESPN.

Not sure what content will be on ESPN but don't think it's going to be anything significant. Though there it's not clear whether the FA Cup will still be on the ESPN branded channel.

The FA cup is on espn...not sure whatelse

There is an advert out that says that Sky customers are getting BT Sports as part of the sports package.

No word on cost yet. Do BT:

a) Charge £15 knowing that SS1 costs just 50p more and will show more EPL football, or
b) Do a wholesale deal on the XL package, which is counteractive to their plans to convert VM customers to BT customers?

If it was b), you'd think VM would be shouting that from the rooftops by now.

I think he must mean about BT offering it for free on Sky to BT customers rather than Sky customers and got confused.

It seems to suggest so, but other than that it looks like only the American stuff is going to be on ESPN.

As you well know, 99% of posts on this forum are speculation (including the ones featuring speculation about speculation). ;)

But it is based on a speculative rumour,

If that link is even real, then I would assume that BT have agreed with VM that they can't sell it below a certain price or offer it within a bundle.

It kind of suits both parties. VM don't have to pay a certain cost per subscriber and potentially lose money and only those who really want it will pay for it themselves and then VM can still market it that BT sports is available to them as apposed to not.

BT then also get better exposure, the revenue direct and Ofcom won't be breathing down their necks either.

Quite a few FM's on a rival site are very pessimistic about this deal. It seems a lot don't think the link is genuine - as the link can't actually be found on VM's website?!
